ROSEMARY COTTAGE is a modern purpose built bungalow on the Highlands Farm site.
Highlands Farm is also known as the South of England Rare Breeds Centre, a tourist attraction offering training to people with learning disabilities. The Rare Breeds Centre is also home to several of The Trust's life skills projects offering involvement in farming, horticulture, catering, art and crafts. There is a sensory room on site.
The house has at its heart a large open plan living dining area. There are 6 bedrooms, a bathroom, shower room with toilet plus an additional separate toilet. There is a garden and patio area with a B-B-Q ideal for summer evenings and of course the lovely grounds of the Rare Breeds Centre on the doorstep.
The village of Woodchurch is approximately 1 mile away. There is a church, village hall, 2 public houses, post office, general stores and doctors' surgery. Residents are supported and encouraged to be part of the local community and use the facilities.
Getting around - Highlands Farm is situated on the B2067 between Hamstreet and Tenterden. There is an hourly bus service to Ashford or Tenterden where there are many amenities e.g. leisure centre, cinemas, shopping centres, library and bowling alley. There is a main line station with trains to London, Canterbury and Dover. The house also enjoys use of the Trust's fleet of vehicles.
