Our Services - supporting you to live your best life

Canterbury Oast Trust serves over 150 people living with a learning disability across Kent and East Sussex. We recognise that everyone is different and at the heart of everything we do is an holistic approach to the needs of each person individually. We endeavour to ensure that people’s mental, emotional and physical health is respected across all of our services. We support people through our small family-style homes, personal development and training and work experience opportunities. Our broad base of inspiring training programmes welcome over 150 people with a learning disability.

If you choose to use our services we aim to support you to:

Be happy and healthy.

Have choice in how you wish to live your life and be empowered to live with confidence and independence.

Feel responsible for your own life and that you are listened to.

Live your own life with flexible and personalised support as much as you feel you need.

Benefit from environments which support you mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.

Have a social life, to make and maintain friendships and relationships and help to find meaningful occupation, learning and employment.

Be a valued member within your local community and to enjoy you right to full participation in society.

Have an appropriate circle of support involving family members, friends, other professionals and anyone else who is important to you.

To be considered for a place at Canterbury Oast Trust, a free care needs assessment must be completed. Kent County Council provides everything you need to know about the care needs assessment process on their website.
