This weekend witnessed a Fine Art Exhibition and Sale in Tenterden. The event was organised by the Rotary Club of Tenterden in conjunction with Canterbury Oast Trust and the Rare Breeds Centre a charity supporting people with learning disability.

Kicking off on the 16th May with an exclusive private viewing, guests were treated to wine and canapés and guest speaker, Mr Graham Clarke, the renowned artist, author, illustrator and humourist. Open to the public over the weekend, the exhibition and sale included a wide range of local artworks from local artists including the charity’s own art project “Art at the Farm”.

A percentage of every sale will go towards the work of Canterbury Oast Trust and other local charities. With over £3,400 of artworks sold and other fundraising activities, including a raffle and auction, the whole event raised over £4,000!

Gill Gibb, CEO of COT said: “This was a wonderful opportunity for our Art at the Farm artists to exhibit and sell their artworks alongside other local artists. We were delighted to have the support of the Rotary Club of Tenterden once again. Our sincere thanks go to them and to our event sponsors for making the exhibition and sale such a success”.
