High Sheriff visits Rare Breeds Centre

High Sheriff pops in to Rare Breeds Centre

On Wednesday 20th February the High Sheriff of Kent Michael Bax popped into the Rare Breeds Centre to pick up two auction lots he won at the Canterbury Oast Trust’s showcase at KCC County Hall in January. The High Sheriff collected an annual RBC membership and a delicious hamper of Rare Breeds pork. Gill Gibb CEO of the charity took the opportunity to talk to the High Sheriff about the important work of COT supporting adults with learning disabilities to live more independent lives. Michael Bax himself runs a small farm near Tenterden and was pleased to visit the RBC and take home some quality produce.

The Rare Breeds Centre is open to visitors and has a range of attractions from a petting barn to indoor and outdoor playgrounds. The shop sells Rare Breeds produce including their well-loved sausages.  Check out the www.rarebreeds.org.uk  for opening times.
