A group of Kent businessmen and women played Santa at their Christmas breakfast meeting on Wednesday, 9 December, handing over a cheque for £1,000 to the Canterbury Oast Trust. The money was raised throughout the year at the Wealden Business Group's weekly networking breakfasts, held at the Little Silver Country Hotel, Tenterden. David Jackson, chief executive of the Canterbury Oast Trust, outlined the charity's work, which provides care, training and job opportunities for people with learning or physical disabilities in Kent and East Sussex, before receiving the cheque from Wealden Business Group chairman and Little Silver Country Hotel proprietor Oliver Johnston. The Wealden Business Group is an organisation of recommended professionals which meets to help members maximise business opportunities through networking, knowledge and cooperation.
