Rainbow Gallery is open 5 days a week, attended by 70 adults with learning disabilities, which equates to 100 placements a week. The age range is 18 - 60 with both internal and external students. The Gallery offers a therapeutic and inspiring environment staffed by a skilled team of tutors.

Rainbow Gallery is fully accessible and as part of the induction period, residents and external placements get the opportunity to try a range of arts and crafts to discover which activities they would like to follow.

The atmosphere is relaxed, creative and fun and the environment is conducive to self-expression through inspiring art and craft activities.

Special projects are organised each year including community based events such as the Kent Week Festival and the Hythe Venetian Fete.

Students in the Gallery all have their own portfolios and personal projects to work on as well as group projects. This forms part of our commitment to choices and skills development.

Rainbow Gallery also makes items to sell to the public at the craft shop at the Rare Breeds Centre and at Hi-Trade charity shop in Sidcup as well as at craft fairs.

Artworks have been created for the Coterie Tea Rooms in Rye and can be seen all around the buildings of the Rare Breeds Centre. In the past the Gallery has participated in the Exhibition of Kent Life at the Sassoon Gallery in Folkestone Library.
