HOMELANDS is a listed 17th Century house situated in the village of Aldington some 8 miles from the town of Ashford. It is home to 8 people of varying ages and abilities who have learning disabilities.

The house, with extensive views over Romney Marsh has 8 residential bedrooms, 2 staff bedrooms, four bathrooms, a large lounge with an inglenook fireplace, large hall / leisure activities area with woodburning stove, panelled dining room, kitchen, utility room and office. The gardens are laid to lawns and flower beds and the service users are encouraged to help maintain this attractive area. There is also an area for growing fruit and vegetables.

The village of Aldington has a population of approximately 1,500. The local amenities are a Post Office, village hall, pub (Walnut Tree) and local Anglican church. There is a daily bus service to the large town of Ashford where there are many community amenities, two large shopping complexes and bus/train services. Hamstreet Station is approximately 5 miles away with trains to Ashford, London, Canterbury and Hastings.

Service users are actively encouraged to use the facilities in their local community.
