HOMELANDS is a listed 17th
Century house situated in the village of Aldington some 8 miles
from the town of Ashford. It is home to 8 people of varying ages
and abilities who have learning disabilities. The village of Aldington has a population of approximately 1,500. The local amenities are a Post Office, village hall, pub (Walnut Tree) and local Anglican church. There is a daily bus service to the large town of Ashford where there are many community amenities, two large shopping complexes and bus/train services. Hamstreet Station is approximately 5 miles away with trains to Ashford, London, Canterbury and Hastings. Service users are actively encouraged to use the facilities in their local community. |
