HARRINGTON COTTAGE is a detached property situated in the village of Aldington some 8 miles from the town of Ashford. It is home to 6 people of varying ages and abilities who have learning disabilities.

The secluded house, in its own grounds, has extensive views over Romney Marsh. The house , has 6 residential bedrooms, 1 staff bedroom, 1 bathroom and 1 shower room, a large lounge with TV and video, a dining room, kitchen, utility area and office.

The gardens are laid to lawns and flower beds and the service users are encouraged to help maintain this attractive area. COT life skills projects at Poulton Wood and also Harrington College are very close to hand. Service users are actively encouraged to use the facilities in their local community.

The village of Aldington has a population of approximately 1,500. The local amenities are a Post Office, village hall, pub (Walnut Tree) and local Anglican church. There is a daily bus service to the large town of Ashford where there are many community amenities, two large shopping complexes and bus/train services. The house also has the use of two vehicles.

Hamstreet Station is approximately 5 miles away with trains to Ashford, London, Canterbury and
Hastings.
