The Coterie tea room is a well-respected and often bustling business in the centre of the lovely town of Rye. Established in 1989 the tea room enjoys a loya l and friendly customer base.
Training at the tea room will develop your skills in:
- Catering: gain practical experience of food preparation and cooking, hygiene, health and safety in the kitchen.
- Service: taking orders and serving customers making sure their needs are met, and they enjoy their experience.
- Team Working: working together in a busy environment to make sure we deliver a quality service.
Applicants need to be enthusiastic about learning new skills and have good mobility. Applicants must also be able to manage personal hygiene. Access to the kitchen for wheelchair users is restricted due to Health & Safety regulations.
Students are provided with protective clothing and tea room uniforms. All tasks are supervised and on-going training offers formal skills development from entry level through all levels for City and Guilds qualifications.
