Offering life skills opportunities to people with learning disabilities Canterbury Oast Trust is a charity that creates opportunities for 91 residents with learning disabilities in Kent and East Sussex. We also provide opportunities for people with learning disabilities who live in the community. The Trust has a philosophy that people with learning disabilities can have a valued role in life and should have the same opportunities of self-fulfilment as others. Most people achieve this through a comfortable home life, leisure activities, friendship, the chance to learn new skills and a challenging occupation. The Trust promotes choices and self-help through a varied programme of training and supported placements. Our projects, workshops and self-help activities offer real opportunities both at the South of England Rare Breeds Centre and in the local community. Our current life skills projects based at WOODCHURCH include: Rare Breeds Centre Farm (click on the green links for more details) |
