Join the Great Kent Party

Next time you throw a party, simply make it in aid of Canterbury Oast Trust.

Maybe it's just and informal dinner party with friends, your birthday coming up or a party in the garden enjoying the Summer weather - whatever the occasion, just by getting your guests to make a small donation you can help,

We'd like everyone to have fun with their fundraising, So we are promoting the idea of the Great Kent Party.

We don't mind what kind of party - in fact we've had some ideas:

  • The Great Kent Garden Party
  • The Great Kent Dinner Party
  • The Great Kent Pub Crawl
  • The Girls Night Out
  • The Tea Party
  • The Birthday Party
  • The Office Party
  • The Picnic Party
  • The Barbeque Party
  • The Childrens' Party
  • The Party to end all Parties

Schools, sports clubs, businesses, local organisations and societies can all join in the fun.

Do join the The Great Kent Party and help us to buy specialist aids, update furniture and equipment for our homes and just simply enable us to continue our day services. A small donation - for example for art materials, or to enable residents to go on a cinema trip - is so very welcome and does make such a difference to the lives of those supported by COT

Here are just some examples of what you raise could help fund:

£15 could help build social skills by paying for trips out to the cinema or to sports activities

£25 could develop life skills through contributing towards a day's supported work and training

£50 could improve movement and flexibility by paying for physiotherapy sessions for a person with profound physical and learning disabilities

£100 could help equip a home with specialised aids and equipment for disabled people

£150 could enhance the lives and comfort of residents by paying for new furniture in a home

£250 could help develop physical co-ordination and a sense of real achievement by paying for six months' supply of basic materials for the arts and crafts project

£500 could help to develop communication skills for those with very complex needs and impaired speech abilities through the purchase of specialist computer equipment
