Fifth time lucky for Coral

Coral Boyne is running the London Marathon in support of Canterbury Oast Trust
on Sunday April 26th 2009

I have been applying to run the London Marathon now for five years running. Whilst on your fifth application you are allegedly "automatically" guaranteed a place, I decided not to apply in this way for my fifth year and in fact requested a charity place that was available to run in aid of the "Canterbury Oast Trust".

My family have been committed all our lives to fundraising for the Mentally handicapped and ever since Canterbury Oast Trust began to provide my own brother in 1987, with life long care and a home, career and extremely high quality of life, we have given everything we can in time to help raise funds for them to continue their good work.

I do have the Marathon on my list of "must-do's" but for me, this is so so much more, it's for all those residents at Canterbury Oast Trust, who need to maintain their fantastic quality of life and who I feel I can support by raising money in this way.

So if you can help Coral to help COT by sponsoring her for the last Flora London Marathon (next year to be taken over by Virgin!), then please donate generously on her "justgiving" website. Coral works as a Project Manager for NATS - providers of air traffic control services
to aircraft flying in UK airspace and over the eastern part of the North Atlantic.
NATS have very generously given Coral £500 in sponsorship in recognition of
running the Flora London Marathon 2009 in support of Canterbury Oast Trust.
